Test sequence
NOTE:
Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112- and associated wiring are monitored by engine control unit.
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, test and information system VAS 5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". When doing this ignition must be on.

- Check fault memory of engine control module.
If display shows a fault relating to Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112-:
- Open quick-release fasteners -1- and -2- and lift off engine cover panel (arrows).
- Disconnect hoses from Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve -N112- (arrow), but leave electrical connector plugged in.
- Connect test hose to connection on valve indicated by (arrow).
- Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 is connected; vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" is selected. Ignition must be switched on.
Display on VAS 5051:
- Select diagnosis function "03 - Final control diagnosis" from menu -1-
- Press the > button repeatedly until following display appears:
Display on VAS 5051:
A - Actuator test is waiting - Continued switching required
2 - Secondary air inlet valve -N112-
- Press the > button.
Display on VAS 5051:
A - Actuator is running - Continued switching allowed
- Valve should click...
- ...and open and close (can be checked by blowing into auxiliary hose).
- Press the < button to exit from function "03 - Final control diagnosis".
If valve does not open and close properly:
- Replace Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Solenoid Valve - N112-.
If valve does not click during final control diagnosis:
