Front exhaust pipe (right), removing and installing: Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note following points:

NOTE:

All cable ties which are opened or cut open on removal must be replaced in same position when installing.
Always replace seals, gaskets and self-locking nuts.

Initially screw on nuts securing front exhaust pipe to turbocharger hand-tight.
Check distance between front exhaust pipe and transmission housing at location marked with (arrows).
- Distance a = 9.0 to 9.5 mm

Move front exhaust pipe in mounting bores if necessary.
Tighten mountings assembly to torque.

NOTE: Align turbocharger if it is not possible to attain distance "a". See INSTALLING .
