Test sequence
NOTE:
Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75- and its wiring are monitored by engine control unit.
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, test and information system VAS 5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics". When doing this ignition must be on.

- Interrogate fault memory of engine control unit.
If display shows a malfunction relating to Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75-:
- Remove air filter housing. See REMOVING .
- Disconnect hoses from Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75- but leave electrical connector plugged in.
- Connect a hose to longer connection on valve shown in illustration (arrow).
- Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 is connected; vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" is selected. Ignition must be switched on.
Display on VAS 5051:
- Select diagnosis function "03 - Final control diagnosis" from menu -1-
- Press the > button repeatedly until following display appears:
Display on VAS 5051:
4 - Charge pressure control valve -N75-
A - Actuator test is waiting - Continued switching required
- Press the > button.
Display on VAS 5051:
A - Actuator is running - Continued switching allowed
- Valve should click...
- ...and open and close (can be checked by blowing into auxiliary hose).
- Press the < button to exit from function "03 - Final control diagnosis".
Valve does not click:
- Test internal resistance of valve, see TESTING INTERNAL RESISTANCE .
If valve does not open and close properly:
- Replace Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75-
