Mechanical air recirculation valve, testing: Notes
NOTE:
- Mechanical air recirculation valve is located upstream of turbochargers. It is opened by vacuum from Recirculating valve for turbocharger -N249- when engine is on overrun or when idling or under part load. This disperses pressurized air (charge pressure) upstream of throttle valve, and thus keeps turbochargers rotating at a higher speed.
- Check air recirculation valve if engine is not producing full power, or jerking when throttle is opened and closed.
