Balancing wheels on the vehicle

Check whether vehicle is equipped with traction control system (ASR).

If vehicle has ASR, deactivate system before performing balancing work.

NOTE:
  • Incorrectly balanced wheels cause steering wheel vibration and shuddering at the front of the vehicle.
  • Position vehicle on the sensor platforms (front axle only for front-wheel drive, both axles for all-wheel drive) in order to carry out wheel balancing.
  • Check manufacturer's instructions for operating wheel balancing equipment.
