B-pillar trim, removing and installing
NOTE:
The following list refers to Fig 1.
- Phillips-head screw
- 0.5 Nm (4 in.lb.)
- 2 parts
- Three-point seat belt
- Upper B-pillar trim
- Removing:
- Remove B-pillar lower trim -4-.
- Remove front handle and coat hook. See COAT HOOK, REMOVING .
- Unclip upper A-pillar trim at rear area.
- Remove seat belt from seat. See appropriate Air Bag Restraint Systems article in Restraints.
- Remove Phillips-head screw -1- and -7-.
- Remove three-point seat belt -2- from B-pillar trim.
- Installing:
- Trim, B-pillar with height adjustment -8- together, as shown in Fig.NOTE: Button for manual belt height adjustment must not be pressed during assembly.
- Trim, B-pillar hooked on B-pillar from the front and back (2 each).
NOTE:- Manual belt height adjustment must be heard locking in all 5 positions.
- Button must return to upper position after activation.
- Trim, B-pillar with height adjustment -8- together, as shown in Fig.
- Removing:
- B-pillar lower trim
- Removing:
- Unclip front sill plate. See SILL MOLDING INTERIOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Unclip C-pillar trim at transition to B-pillar trim.
- Remove clips -5-.
- Raise trim slightly, disconnect connector.
- Remove trim from below.
- Removing:
- Clip
- 2 parts
- B-pillar
- Phillips-head screw
- 0.5 Nm (4 in.lb.)
- 3 parts
- Height adjuster
