V.A.G 1551 scan tool, connecting

NOTE: The scan tool V.A.G 1552 can be used instead of the scan tool V.A.G 1551, however a print out is not possible.

Test requirements:

Release ashtray in center console by pressing small lever -arrow-.
Remove ashtray from center console and remove cover for diagnostic plug.

Connect scan tool V.A.G 1551 or scan tool V.A.G 1552 using cable V.A.G 1551/3.

See scan tool operating instructions

Switch on the scan tool printer with the print key. The warning lamp in the key must light up.
Enter "1" to select "Rapid data transfer".

NOTE:

Address word 00 implements the automatic test sequence, i.e. the interrogation of the DTC memory via rapid data transfer for all vehicle systems with On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capability.
