Rear door handle, removing and installing: Notes

NOTE: The following list refers to items in Fig 1 .
  1. Socket-head screw (2x) 
    • 3 Nm (27 in. lb)
  2. Door handle 

    Removing:

    • Remove face plate for door handle to avoid paint damage. See REMOVING FACE PLATE FOR DOOR HANDLE  .
    • Disengage operating rod -6- from operating clip -5- and disengage hinged clip -7-.
    • Unscrew socket-head bolts -1- remove face plate - 3 - and door handle.

  5. Operating clip 
  6. Operating rod 

    Removing:

    • Rotate hinged clip -7- and pull off operating rod.
    • Slide sleeve on operating clip -5- down and press out operating rod.

    Installing:

    • Adjust play between door handle and door lock by rotating operating rod in operating clip.
    • Activation level must not be put under tension while adjusting.
    • Play between activation lever and operating part: max. 1 mm
  7. Hinged clip
