Display group 021: Idle RPM increase, activating fan for coolant and activating washer system

NOTE: Notes to display field 1:

Check idle control function (idle RPM increase). See OUTPUT DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE (DTM) IDLE SPEED CONTROL TEST, INITIATING . Begin output check diagnostic "idle speed control."
Requirement to switch on idle control, is that no compressor shut off conditions have occurs which does not allow A/C clutch to switch (e.g. A/C pressure switch -F129- open, engine not running or operating mode "ECON" selected.
For vehicles with the TDI engine the coding of control head -E87- is influenced by the "idle control" signal issued by control head -E87-. Via this signal the control module is informed that auxiliary heater should be switched on. Does not apply to USA, since diesel engine vehicles are not offered.
For operating mode "ECON" and for temperatures greater than 15° C for coding of TDI engine, a signal for "idle control is no longer issued. Does not apply to USA, since diesel vehicles are not offered.

NOTE: Note to display fields 1 and 2:
Coolant fan is switched on by -E87- in the 1st stage as long as there are no compressor shut off conditions which does not allow A/C clutch from switching on. For example, engine not running or operating mode "ECON" selected).

NOTE: Note to display fields 1 and 2: Activation of cooler fan occurs on vehicles with pressure switch F129 directly via switch, the activation of 2nd stage via -E87- is provided for vehicles with high pressure sender -G65- (this will be introduced on the Audi A8 at a later date).

NOTE: Note to display fields 1 and 2: When activating the switch for washer system the A/C is switched over for a specific time into ambient air mode.
