Small D-pillar trim, removing and installing

WARNING: Observe safety precautions when working on side curtain airbags. See appropriate Air Bag Restraint Systems article in Restraints.

NOTE: The following list refers to Fig 1.

Small D-pillar trim
- Removing:
  - Remove D-pillar trim. See D-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
  - Press side curtain airbag -4- upward at upper bolt -2- (don't use a pointed or sharp object).
  - Remove bolt -2- (3x).
- Installing:
  - Align small D-pillar trim according to C-pillar trim.
WARNING: Be sure trim is securely installed.
Bolt, 5.5 Nm
- 3x
- Self-locking
- Always replace
