System test

NOTE: After every Login-Procedure, the Immobilizer unit is disabled for 5 minutes if the ignition key is removed. Therefore carrying out the System Test during this time is not recommended.

Ignition must be OFF for a minimum of 5 minutes.
- Cover the read coil with a metal plate with a hole, for example, a properly sized washer. Place the washer on to the ignition lock and insert the ignition key true the hole into the ignition lock.
- Disconnect electrical wire to the reader coil at the plug between the ignition switch and the control module for the Immobilizer unit.
- Start the engine.
The engine must not be running and the control light must be blinking.
- Initiate OBD of immobilizer. See ANTI-THEFT IMMOBILIZER ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD), INITIATING .
- Check DTC Memory. See CHECK DTC MEMORY (FUNCTION 02) .
  One of the two error codes is displayed on display unit.

- Erase DTC memory. See ERASE DTC MEMORY (FUNCTION 05) .
- End Output. See END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06) .
