NOTE:
- The secret number must be determined using the 14 digit identification number of the anti-theft immobilizer or Engine Control Module (ECM) by querying the system directly (like direct query of radio code). Furthermore, it is possible to obtain the secret number via the relevant distributor or importer.
- After the third incorrect input of the secret number, the control module for anti-theft immobilizer or Engine Control Module (ECM) will be locked.
- It is not possible to make another attempt for 10 minutes. During this time, the ignition must remain constantly switched on. On Board Diagnostic (OBD) must be exited using the "End Output" function 06. This time is doubled after every third consecutive incorrect attempt, up to a maximum of 255 minutes.
NOTE:
Effective calendar date 03.11.2002, the immobilizer secret number is encoded for increased security. The encoded number is now 7-digits and is referred to as a "PIN" ("Personal Identification Number"). The associated process is also new.
