Safety precautions: Notes

Note the following points if testers and measuring instruments have to be used during a road test: 

WARNING:
  • When driving the vehicle for measurement and test purposes, always secure the Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 1551 or V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool to the rear seat and operate it from there (second person required).
  • If the test and measuring equipment were operated from the front passenger seat, the person sitting there could be injured if the front passenger airbag were triggered in the event of an accident.
