Checking wire connections

- Connect test box to wiring harness of Engine Control Module (ECM). See TEST BOX, CONNECTING FOR WIRING AND COMPONENT TEST ; ECM is not connected.
- Check the following wire connections for open circuit according to wiring diagram:

ACCELERATOR PEDAL MODULE CIRCUIT TEST: CONTINUITYHarness connector Terminal Test box Socket 1 72 2 73 3 36 4 35 5 33 6 34 - Specified value: Wire resistance max 1.5 Ω
- Also check wires for short circuit to each other, to B+ and Ground (GND).
- Specified value: infinity Ω (no continuity)
- If necessary, repair wire connection.
If no malfunction is detected in the wiring and if the voltage supply was OK:
- Replace accelerator pedal module. See ACCELERATOR PEDAL MODULE WITH THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
