On Board Diagnostic (OBD) system, function

Check preconditions:

Power supply and fuses for the particular system O.K.
Connect scan tool VAG1551. See VAG1551 SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING AND SELECTING ADDRESS WORD .
Switch on ignition

NOTE:

Malfunctions which occur only for a short time are indicated as "sporadically occurring malfunctions" by means of "/SP" on the right in the display.
Additional instruction for use can be checked using the HELP button on the VAG1551.
The --> button is used to move one step further in the program sequence.

Activate printer using the PRINT button (indicator light in the button illuminates).
Press Button 1 for "Rapid data transfer".

Press Buttons -3- and -4-.
