Position the vehicle on a level surface.
Switch the ignition on.
The basic setting is performed via Function 11 "Log-in".)

Measure height dimension. Value entered = Bodywork reference point relative to wheel center point in mm. In example display shown, distance measured is 410 mm. Also see HEIGHT DIMENSION, DETERMINING .

NOTE:

A height dimension must be entered for each measurement position (at each wheel) even if the figure displayed is correct.
When using the VAS 5051 for Basic Setting, be sure to press the appropriate symbol to advance the program, otherwise the test step may not be completed.
When using the VAS 5051 or VAS 5052, each adaptation value must be changed and re-saved so that each adaptation step is completed.

Continue adaptation for the remaining three wheels.
- Channel 02 - Wheel fr
- Channel 03 - Wheel rl
- Channel 04 - Wheel rr
  Always measure the bodywork height on the corresponding wheel.
  
  After entry of the four measured values the entry must be confirmed using Function 10 "Adaptation".
