Test preconditions
- Ensure correct multiple connection between the wiring harness and control module -J197- and the double plugtype connection, i.e., check whether any contacts are bent, broken or corroded. Any damaged contacts must be repaired using wiring harness repair set VAS1978.
- Before starting testing, switch off the ignition and electrical loads such as the headlights, interior lighting, fans, etc.
- Only use suitable tools, etc., from VAG1594 for creating contact.
