Shift mechanism (through VIN 8E_6A156499), disassembling and assembling: Notes

Disassembling
NOTE:
- Securing spring for locking cable, removing and installing Retaining spring for locking cable, removing and installing
6 - Selector lever
- Place selector lever in position "D".
- Remove shift lock solenoid - 7 - → Shift Lock Solenoid N110 (through VIN 8E_6A156499), removing and installing .
- Unclip selector lever guide - 12 -.
- Release pivot pins - 5 - and - 19 - and pull them out from side.
- Unclip retaining brackets - 2 - and - 16 -.
- Pull off retaining clip - 17 -.
- Swing locking lever - 11 - fully upwards.
- Pull selector lever - 6 - with bushings - 3 - and - 15 - as well as Tiptronic locking levers - 4 - and - 18 - downward out of shift unit - 14 -.
Assembling
6 - Selector lever
- Check whether selector lever is in position "D".
- Swing locking lever - 11 - fully upwards.
- Insert selector lever - 6 - from below into shift unit - 14 -.
- Connect locking levers for Tiptronic - 4 - and - 18 - as well as bushings - 3 - and - 15 - on selector lever.
- Press selector lever - 6 - with bushes into shift unit and position it with retaining clip - 17 -.
- Engage retaining brackets - 2 - and - 16 - on shift unit.
- Push pivot pins - 5 - and - 19 - into selector lever - 6 - until they engage.
- Check whether mounting pins in Tiptronic locking lever engage.
- Install shift lock solenoid - 7 - → Shift Lock Solenoid N110 (through VIN 8E_6A156499), removing and installing .
