Valve body, removing and installing

CAUTION:
  • Only the designated screws must be removed; bolt - - is only on transmissions with hydraulic control "E17".
  • When removing other bolts, the function of the valve body can be influenced or the valve body splits up.
  • Note the different lengths of the bolts.

CAUTION: Only transmissions with hydraulic control "E17" : Do not rest valve body on Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor G182 (on bottom side of valve body - arrow  -) - risk of damage.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal, note the following:

NOTE:
  • Replace dirty or faulty valve body.

NOTE:
  • Note different length of bolts.

Stage Tightening
I
  • Hand-tighten bolts - 1 to 17  - in sequence.
II
  • Tighten bolts - 1 to 17  - in sequence to 8 Nm.
