Checking battery for secure seating

If battery is not securely seated, the following dangers exist:

• Shortened service life caused by vibration damage.
• The cells in battery will be damaged if battery is not secured correctly.
• Damage to battery housing by clamping bracket (possible acid leakage, high subsequent costs).
• Poor crash safety.

• Make sure that battery does not leak, only install genuine battery caps.
• Use genuine sealing plugs of same construction if lost or damaged.
• The sealing plugs must be provided with an O-ring.
