Three-point seat belt with belt height adjuster, removing and installing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

1 - Belt
- Removal:
CAUTION:
Observe measures when disconnecting battery. →

- Disconnect battery →

- Loosen upper A-pillar trim to B-pillar trim → Upper A-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Loosen upper D-pillar trim to B-pillar trim → D-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Remove upper B-pillar trim → Upper B-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Remove lower B-pillar trim → Lower B-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Loosen seat belt eyes - 2 - on outer seat anchorage point.
- Loosen belt - 1 - from guide - 5 -.
- Note anti-twist mechanism, loosen bolt - 4 - and remove belt tensioner - 3 -.
- Remove bolt - 7 - on top of belt height adjuster - 6 - and loosen belt - 1 - from height adjuster.
- If complete remove of the belt height adjuster - 6 - is desired, loosen bolt - 8 - on height adjuster.
- Open yellow retainer on yellow-blue connector - 9 - with a screwdriver and disconnect connector.
- Installing:
- Install belt webbing rotated by 180° - arrow - -as shown in Fig 3-.
- Arrow - A - faces in direction of travel.
- Ensure connector - 9 - is engaged correctly.
- Remaining installation is in reversed sequence.
NOTE:
- After installing passenger side three-point seatbelt, check belt function for child seat → Checking child seat anchorage function for supplemental child seats (not for drivers seat belt) .
- The three-point seat belt must not be impeded by cables, wires, insulation, etc.
- Follow measures after connecting battery →

- Tightening torque 55 Nm
5 - Guide
6 - Belt height adjustment
- Removal:
- Remove upper B-pillar trim - 5 - → Upper B-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Remove bolt - 7 - and bolt - 8 -.
- Remove belt height adjuster - 6 - upward.
- Installing:
Installation is reverse of removal.
NOTE:
- Button - 10 - must not be pressed during installation.
- Function test after installing trim:
- Height adjuster must audibly engage into all five possible positions (even top position).
- Button must return by itself to upper position after being actuated.
7 - Screw
- Tightening torque 55 Nm
- Belt relay must swivel by itself in carrier direction after tightening screw.
8 - Screw
- Tightening torque 23 Nm
