Separating cover and upholstery from backrest frame

1 - Backrest

• Removal:

• Remove seat → Front power seats with memory, removing and installing .
• Remove the backrest → Front backrest, removing and installing .
• Remove headrest → Headrest with slide in locking mechanism, removing and installing .
• Remove headrest guides: Vehicles until 10.04 → Headrest guides, vehicles through 10.04, removing and installing , vehicles from 11.04 → Headrest guides, removing and installing - vehicles from 11.04 .

• Remove backrest cover panel → Backrest cover, removing and installing .
• Pry out lower grip channels - 3  - (3x).
• Disengage side grip channels - 2  - (2x).
• Remove backrest frame → Backrest frame, removing and installing .

• Remove cable guide - 6  -.
• Open cable tie - 4  -.
• Pull seat heater cable - 5  - up and out.
• Remove side airbag → Side airbags, servicing .

• Pry out plastic tabs - 7  - (5x).
• Remove upholstery with cover.

• Installing: 

Installation is reverse of removal.

3 - Lower fastening strips (3x)

4 - Cable tie

5 - Seat heating cable

6 - Cable guide

7 - Plastic tabs (Qty. 5)
