1 - Side curtain airbag
- Removal:
- Disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap →
- 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL
- 27 - BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL for ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT - GENERAL INFORMATION
- Remove sun visor → Sun visor, removing and installing .
- Remove upper trim on A-pillar → Upper A-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Remove upper B-pillar trim → Upper B-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Remove roof end → Roof end trim, removing and installing .
- Remove D-pillar trim → D-pillar trim, removing and installing .
- Disconnect harness connectors Disconnect side curtain airbag connector .
- Loosen three bolts - 4 -.
- Loosen six bolts - 5 -.
- Remove screw - 7 -.
- Remove three brackets - 2 - from roof frame.
- Place front part of side curtain airbag module on seats.
- Loosen two bolts - 6 -.
- Remove head-level airbag - 1 - from vehicle.
- Installing:

CAUTION:
Always follow side curtain airbag installation procedure.
- Insert center bracket - 2 -.
- Insert remaining brackets - 2 -.
- Install two bolts - 6 -.
- Tighten bolt - 7 -.
- Secure airbag module to B-pillar with two bolts - 5 - Side curtain airbag fastener to B-pillar .
- Secure three brackets - 2 - using three bolts - 5 -.
- Install last bolt - 5 -.
- Install outer bolts - 4 -.
- Install center bolt - 4 -.
Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
- Switch on ignition.

No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.
- Connect the battery ground (GND) strap →

- If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) K75 shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 A, cleared and then rechecked.

- Tightening torque 4 Nm
- Self-locking
- Replace after each disassembly
- Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)
5 - Screws (6x)
- Tightening torque 4 Nm
- Self-locking
- Replace after each disassembly
- Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)
6 - Bolts (Qty. 2)
- Tightening torque 4 Nm
- Self-locking
- Replace after each disassembly

7 - Screw
- Tightening torque 4 Nm
- Self-locking
- Replace after each disassembly
