Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051, connecting and selecting engine control module: Procedure

Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 with diagnostic cable VAS 5051/1 or 3.

In the automatic test sequence function (address word 00), the K -wire adapter VAS 6017 must also be used on vehicles as of model year 2002.

WARNING:

When driving the vehicle for measurement and test purposes, always secure the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051on the rear seat only and operate it from this position (second person required).

Depending on the function required:

Switch on ignition
