Safety precautions: Procedure

Connect Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 or V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool and select engine electronics control unit 1 with "Address word" 01. See VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM VAS 5051, CONNECTING AND SELECTING ENGINE CONTROL MODULE or V.A.G 1551 SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING AND SELECTING ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . For this purpose, engine must be running at idle speed.

Press keys 0 and 8 for function "Read measured value block" and confirm entry with Q key.

Enter relevant display group number (3 figures) and confirm entry by pressing Q key.

NOTE: The choice of display group depends on the particular functions and components to be tested.
