High-mount brake light (Avant), removing and installing: Removing

Remove upper trim of rear lid
See REAR LID TRIM, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
Insert a screwdriver -1- into the hole in the rear lid through which the wire leads to high-mount brake light.
Disengage securing rail -2- of spring tabs toward the right - arrow in exploded view- by pressing screwdriver handle to the left -arrow- with force.

Using 3370 special hook, pull high-mount brake light -2- out of chassis cutout starting at right -arrow-.
Disconnect electrical harness connector -1-.

Remove securing rail for high-mount brake light (5x) from rear lid.
