Driver-side storage compartment (with and without knee bolster), assembly overview

Side cover
Bolt
- Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
Bolt
- Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
Left support
- Only for vehicles with knee bolster
Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
Bolt
- Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
Right support
- Only for vehicles with knee bolster
Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque: 9 Nm.
Driver-side storage compartment
- Removing
  - Remove side cover -2-, see PULLING OFF RIGHT COVER ON INSTRUMENT PANEL .
  - Remove bolts -2- and -8-.
  - Push upper storage compartment on instrument panel to the rear and remove.
  - Unclip diagnostic connector.
  - Remove electrical harness connector at footwell illumination and, if necessary, remove additional loudspeaker.
- Installing
  - First engage driver-side storage compartment on bottom edge into the guides, then clip it to instrument panel above.

Pull off right cover on instrument panel -arrow- using special tool 3370.

Disconnect electrical harness connector -2-.
Remove bolt -1- and remove angle bracket -3- and additional speaker -4-.
