Spring mat with wiring harness in seat pan, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095

• Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136

1 - Cable tie

2 - Spring mat with wiring harness

• Removal:

• Remove seat → Front power seats with memory, removing and installing .
• Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
• Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
• Remove side trim on sill side → Side panels on door sill side, removing and installing .

• Remove side trim on tunnel side → Side panels on door sill side, removing and installing .
• Remove the backrest → Front backrest, removing and installing .
• Remove drawer → Drawer, removing and installing .
• Remove cover and padding from seat pan → Cover and cushion for seat pan, removing and installing (sport seat) .

• Remove cable ties - 1  - (Qty. 4)
• Disengage spring mat - 2  - at - A  - positions (Qty. 2).
• Disengage spring mat - 2  - at - B  - positions (Qty. 4).
• Tip seat pan to side.

• Disconnect connectors - 3  -, - 7  - and - 8  - (Qty. 3).
• Disconnect connector - 11  - (Qty. 2).
• Remove screw - 10  -.
• Remove wiring harness at clips - 4  - and - 5  - (Qty. 4).

• Remove spring mat with wiring harness - 2  -.

• Installing: 

Installation is reverse of removal.
