Checking operation of MIL

- Switch ignition on.
- MIL must light
- Start engine.
- Shortly after starting engine MIL must go out if no faults of relevance to emissions have been stored in DTC memory
NOTE:
The activation signal for the fault lamp is transmitted from the engine control module to the instrument cluster by means of the CAN bus.
