Constantly lit MIL

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Audi RS 6. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

A fault detrimental to emissions has occurred. Interrogate fault memory for the Motronic control module or the automatic transmission (if equipped).

The fault memory must be interrogated in the event of engine running problems or a customer complaint if the MIL does not light. Faults may also have been stored which do not activate the MIL immediately, but rather only if the fault is detected again after the next engine start.
