Work sequence

Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 (see VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM VAS 5051, CONNECTING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONS ) and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" from list. Ignition must be on.

Or, depending on desired operation:

Start engine.

Indicated on VAS 5051:

From list -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Reading measured value block".

- Enter display group

Use keypad -2- to enter required three -digit display group number and confirm entry by touching Q key.

NOTE: The display group to be selected can be seen from the respective functional tests and component checks.

Indicated on VAS 5051:

- Read measured value block
- Display zone 1
Display zone 2

Display zone 3

Display zone 4
- Display group X

NOTE:

Display remains blank if a display zone is not used.
Proceed as follows to switch to a different display group:
