Zero position adjustment
Zero position compensation of steering angle sensor -G85- is necessary in the following cases:
- If ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104-, steering angle sensor -G85- or the steering column are replaced,
- After performing coding of ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104-.
- If suspension or steering geometry is adjusted when checking wheel alignment.
- If there is a code in the DTC memory of ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104- and the instructions in the DTC table require the zero position compensation to be carried out.
- Start engine.
- Turn steering wheel one turn to the right and one turn to the left.
- Perform a short road test: drive in a straight line on a level surface at a speed not higher than 20 km/h.
