Parking aid sensors (rear), removing and installing: Removing

Installation location: In bumper (arrows).

• The following sensors can be removed without removing the rear bumper:
  • All sensors for sedan and Avant with trailer hitch
  • Inner sensors for allroad
• Remove rear bumper for removing all other sensors:

  See REAR BUMPER, REMOVING, INSTALLING AND ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

• Disconnect electrical connection -1- at sensor.
• Push both lugs to side (arrows).

• Press sensor from outside toward the inside.
  NOTE: To do so, a second mechanic may be required to push the sensor which has been removed from locking mechanism to the inside.
• Remove sensor toward the inside.
