Test sequence

Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 or V.A.G 1551 Scan Tool and select engine electronics control unit with "Address word" 01. See VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM VAS 5051, CONNECTING AND SELECTING ENGINE CONTROL MODULE or V.A.G 1551 SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING AND SELECTING ENGINE CONTROL MODULE . For this purpose, the ignition must be switched on.

Press keys 0 and 8 for function "Read measured value block" and confirm entry with Q key.

Note:		Meaning of readiness code on the next pages

Note on display zone 1:

This display shows which diagnosis was checked since the last erasing of the DTC memory or use of the new control module. After erasing the DTC memory all checkable values are set to 1. After test OK the values are set to 0 .

Note on display zones 2, 3 and 4:

This display shows which diagnosis was started since the last engine start. When engine is switched off the conditions of the diagnosis are set to 1. After diagnosis has been performed the checkable values are set to 0 .
