Continuous illumination of malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) -K83-

A malfunction is present which causes deterioration of the exhaust emission. Check DTC memory for engine control module or automatic transmission .
If there is a performance problem or a customer complaint and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) -K83- does not illuminate, check DTC memory after function test of malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) -K83 - as DTCs may have been stored which do not switch on the MIL immediately .
