Function Mode 07: Coding Instrument Cluster
NOTE:
This mode programs new instrument cluster with optional equipment, USA or Canadian version, number of cylinders, and engine version (turbo or normally-aspirated).
- When RAPID DATA TRANSFER SELECT FUNCTION XX is displayed, press 07, then press "Q" key to confirm input. CODE CONTROL UNIT ENTER CODE NUMBER XXXXX will be displayed. Enter appropriate number. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CODE table. The first 2 digits of code number reflect vehicle optional equipment. The last 3 digits reflect USA or Canadian version, engine version and number of cylinders.
- If vehicle is equipped with more than one option, add option numbers together (example: 01-optional 21.6 gallon (82 liter) fuel tank + 02-seat belt warning system = 03). For a USA vehicle with seat belt warning and a 6-cylinder normally-aspirated engine, enter 02262. Press "Q" key to confirm input.
- Press right arrow key. RAPID DATA TRANSFER SELECT FUNCTION XX will be displayed. Press 06 keys. RAPID DATA TRANSFER 06 - END OUTPUT will be displayed. Press "Q" key to confirm input. Press right arrow key to end output diagnostic test mode and return to select function display.
