Check DTC Memory (function 02)

• Initiate On Board Diagnostic (OBD) of immobilizer. See IMMOBILIZER ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD), INITIATING  .

Display on VAS 5051:

• In selection -1-, click on the diagnostic function "02 - Check DTC Memory".

Display on VAS 5051:

1. DTC memory content:
   • 0 malfunctions recognized

   or

   • X malfunctions recognized
2. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
   • DTC
   • malfunction location
   • malfunction type

If malfunctions were recognized: 

• Print out Screen content or On Board Diagnostic (OBD) protocol:

  See operating instructions for the VAS 5051 tester.

• Click on <-- button

• Repair malfunction(s) according to DTC table. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) TABLE  .
• In selection -1-, press diagnostic function "02 - Check DTC Memory" again and Erase DTC Memory. See ERASE DTC MEMORY (FUNCTION 05)  .
• In selection, click on diagnostic function "06 - End Output". See END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06)  .

If no malfunction was recognized: 

• In selection -1-, click on diagnostic function "06 - End Output". See END OUTPUT (FUNCTION 06)  .
