Tailgate trim, removing and installing: Notes
NOTE:
- The top and bottom sections of tailgate trim can only be removed together. Separate the two sections after removal.
1 - Lower tailgate trim
- Removing
- Remove luggage compartment light - 7 - Removing luggage compartment light
- Remove tailgate lock trim Removing tailgate lock trim
- Pull lower tailgate trim - 1 - away from tailgate slightly.
- Use screwdriver to release lower tailgate trim - 1 - at clips - 8 - (9x).
- Unclip upper tailgate trim - 2 - as well.
- Separate lower and upper tailgate trim → Tailgate trim (upper and lower sections), separating .
- Installing
- A second technician is required to support the tailgate trim
- Start fastening at clips - 3 -.
- Perform remaining installation operations in reverse order of removal.

- Removal of upper tailgate trim is described under removal of lower tailgate trim.
