Crossmember for roll bar, removing and installing: Notes

1 - Crossmember for roll bar

• Removing 

• Remove both roll bars → Roll bar, removing and installing .
• Remove speaker assembly carrier → Speaker assembly carrier (vehicles without CD-changer), removing and installing .
• Remove wind deflector → Wind deflector, removing and installing  or trim panel in place of wind deflector → Wind deflector trim, removing and installing .
• Lift cover up slightly Raising convertible top 

• Remove protective covers for bolts - 4  - Removing protective cap 
• Remove bolts - 4  - (2x).
• Remove bolts - 3  - (2x).
• Remove bolts - 2  - (8x).

• Take roll bar crossmember - 1  - from vehicle.

• Installing 

• Install bolts - 3  -.
• Install bolts - 4  -.
• Install bolts - 2  - diagonally.
• Before installing roll bar, check to be sure rubber guide is properly seated Installing rubber guide 

• Perform installation in reverse order of removal.

2 - Bolts (8x)

• Tightening torque 20 Nm

3 - Bolts (2x)

• Tightening torque 20 Nm

4 - Bolts (2x)

• Tightening torque 20 Nm
