Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, erasing (function 05)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2006 Audi TT, 2005 Audi TT, 2004 Audi TT, 2003 Audi TT, and 2002 Audi TT. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If it is not possible to erase the DTC memory, check the DTC memory once again and repair faults.

Requirements:

Display on VAS 5051:

1 - [small diamond] No display (before erasing memory)

or

[small diamond] DTC memory is erased

NOTE: If display zone -1- shows the message "DTC memory is not checked", this means you have not kept exactly to the required sequence of steps. The DTC memory must first be checked before it can be erased.
NOTE:

Do you now want to implement this function? (Existing data will be erased.)

NOTE: This has the effect of erasing any DTCs that may have been stored while carrying out repairs (e.g. as a result of unplugging connectors).
