Ribbed belt, removing and installing: Notes

NOTE:
  • The following illustration shows the belt drive on vehicles without air conditioner.
  • Before removing the ribbed belt, mark the direction of rotation using chalk or a felt marker pen. If the belt rotates in the wrong direction when it is reinstalled, this can cause breakage. Ensure that the belt is properly seated in the pulleys when installing.
