Checking cruise control system

- Connect the VAS5051 tester or VAG1551 scan tool. See VAS 5051 VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, MEASURING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM OR VAG1551 SCAN TOOL, CONNECTING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONS .
- Select the control module for engine electronics using address word 01.
NOTE:
Except for operating switches, the cruise control system does not have any of its own components. All of its functions are controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM).
