Adaptation of fuel gauge sender resistance range
This function is used to adjust the resistance range for the fuel gauge sender in order to compensate for any misalignment of the fuel gauge sender.
Indicated on display
- Press buttons -1- and -0- to select "Adaptation" function 10.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
Indicated on display
- Press buttons -3- and -0- to insert channel number 30.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
Indicated on display
The display will show the adaptation value, for example 128.
NOTE:
- "128" is the adaptation value for the standard resistance range for the fuel gauge sender as set by the factory.
- The resistance value for the fuel gauge sender resistance range can be adjusted by +/- 8 ohm to give an adaptation value between 120 and 136.
- Press --> button.

- Input "00132" using keypad.
- Input adaptation value using keypad on VAG1551 scan tool, filling in initial spaces with "0."
