Coding of instrument cluster checked according to instrument cluster code table. See READ MEASURING VALUE BLOCK (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 08) .
VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) connected
Ignition switched on Notes:

NOTE:

If the display remains blank, check the voltage supply to the VAG1551 scan tool.
Additional operating instructions can be called up with the HELP button.
The --> button is used to advance through program sequence.
If an incorrect entry is made, press the -C- button to cancel.
In "Rapid data transfer" operating mode 1 the "Automatic Test Sequence" (address word 00) can be carried out. This will automatically check the DTC memories of all vehicle control modules which have OBD capabilities.

Switch ignition on.
Switch printer on by pressing PRINT button (indicator light in button comes on).
Press button -1- to select "Rapid data transfer" operating mode 1.

UN4: manufacturer's code (UN4 = Nippon Seiki, VDO = VDO)
D13: software version installed in instrument cluster ("V01" is also possible)
Coding 02262: coding of instrument cluster, code table. See READ MEASURING VALUE BLOCK (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 08) .
WSC 06812: dealership number

If one of these four messages is displayed, carry out troubleshooting procedures.
