Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, erasing (scan tool function 05): Requirements:

• DTC memory was checked. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) MEMORY, CHECKING (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 02) .
• All malfunctions have been corrected

After checking DTC memory:

Indicated on display.

• Press buttons 0 and 5. Function 05 activates "Erase DTC memory."

• Press Q button to confirm input.

  With this the DTC memory is erased.

• Press button.

• Follow test program exactly: first check DTC memory, correct malfunctions found, then erase DTC memory.
