Automatic headlight beam adjusting, On Board Diagnostic (OBD): General: Notes
The automatic headlight beam adjusting feature maintains the angle of inclination of the low beam headlight as the level of the vehicle changes with load.
One level sensor each at the front and rear axles sends a signal based on the suspension level of the vehicle. Also the vehicle speed sensor signal is part of the input.
The control module processes these signals and transfers signals to the vehicle level activators when the low beam is switched on.
Automatic headlight beam adjusting is required for vehicles equipped with gas discharge (Xenon) lights.
