Automatic headlight beam adjusting, On Board Diagnostic (OBD): General: Function

The automatic headlight beam adjusting consists of:

When the vehicle is started, the applicable specified value for the vehicle angle is determined and transmitted to the vehicle level actuators. This initiates a one-time adjustment of the headlights, regardless whether the low beam is switched on or not.

Specified values are then transmitted to the vehicle level actuators only when the low beam headlights are switched on.

When loading of the vehicle is recognized during a trip interruption (V<1 km/h) (additional people enter the vehicle), the headlights are adjusted automatically to the new load condition.

All actuator activities of the automatic headlight adjusting are based on static causes.
