Disassembly (Bushings)

Bonded rubber bushing can only be removed and installed with axle beam lowered. Aside from stabilizer bar, no other parts have to be removed from axle beam.

CAUTION: Mark installation position of bonded rubber bushing on axle beam before removal. In order that new bonded rubber bushings can be reinstalled in the correct position, installation position of defective bonded rubber bushings must be marked before they are pulled out.

Pry aluminum washer from bushing. Mark location of semicircular cutout in bushing on rear subframe. See Fig 1 .

Using appropriate tools, pull out bushing. See Fig 2 .
