Lower Control Arm: Removal

Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove ABS sensor wiring and clips from lower control arm. See Fig 1 . Remove parking brake cable bracket. Remove lower control arm-to-subframe bolts.

On vehicles equipped with headlight vertical aim control, disconnect harness connector from level control. See Figure .
Remove parking brake cable from lower control arm. See Fig 2 . Remove strut assembly-to-lower control arm bolt. Mark position of lower control arm-to-wheel bearing housing eccentric bolt. Remove eccentric bolt. Remove lower control arm.
