Transverse Measurements

Check gap at each side. See Fig 1 . Ensure gaps are equal. If gaps are not equal, loosen subframe bolts. Using pry bar, press subframe right or left until gaps are equal. When gaps are equal, tighten subframe bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Test drive vehicle. After test drive, recheck subframe position, if steering wheel is off center wheel alignment will be necessary. See PROCEDURES & SPECIFICATIONS article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
